São Paulo, September 8 - I come here to inform you that the Board of Directors confirmed Alexandre Baltar as the new leader Responsible for Integrity and Risk Management at OEC. With 25 years working in the areas of sustainability and integrity, in addition to the experience accumulated in six years at the World Bank, Baltar had been directly involved in the formulation and implementation of the company's global integrity monitoring program.

Recently, in order to dedicate herself to personal issues, Margarida Smith asked to step down from her duties. We extend our respect and deep gratitude to her for the competence, professionalism and dedication with which she embraced the cause of the company, which today, due to her contribution, the entire integrity and risk management team and the adhesion of Leaders and Members, it now has the Integrity Policy and Program implemented, in full operation, both of which are referenced in the best global practices.

For his professional background and for having worked directly with Margarida in strengthening the governance of OEC, Baltar stood out as a natural substitute, standing up to the challenge of continuing the work done so far. In early August, the two professionals coordinated a structured transition process, with meetings with clients, multilateral agencies, control bodies, banks, partners and other stakeholders so that they could be directly informed about the change.

In line with the current Governance model, Alexandre Baltar will report directly to the Board of Directors, through his Integrity and Audit Committee, coordinated by the independent director Ana Novaes. To him my best wishes for success and I leave here a small profile so that you can learn more about his professional and academic career.
