On July 9-13, OEC participated in the Luanda International Fair (FILDA) with an interactive booth where it promoted various rounds of conversations on topics such as Compliance, Environment, Social Responsibility, Competencies and Challenges in Engineering Careers and Power Generation by the Laúca Hydropower Plant. Visitors donned virtual reality glasses for a 360° close-up experience of construction works on the Laúca Dam, which is Angola’s largest power producer.
OEC’s participation in FILDA garnered it the Golden Lion Award, which recognizes companies and organizations that most stood out at the event. The winners are selected by a panel that assesses criteria such as exhibition quality, booth attractiveness, service proactivity, innovation, harmony of brand use and the presentation of content, graphic and audiovisual elements. Manuel Kai, Production Manager, received the award on behalf of OEC. “It is a great honor to be recognized by this distinction in a year when we commemorate 35 years of operations in Angola. It also represents a fundamental step in our process to reintroduce the brand,” said Manuel.
Representing various industries, FILDA is Angola’s largest business fair. Each year it gathers local and international suppliers of products and services and fosters partnerships to help diversify the country’s economy. This year, the fair attracted 785 exhibitors and some 30,000 visitors.
For its participation in Angola's largest trade and business fair, OEC was recognized with the "Golden Lion", award given to the companies that stood out at the event.
