Interventions and improvements at Miami International Airport

The works aim to bring innovative logistics solutions, especially for the check-in and baggage sectors, facilitating service, increasing productivity and keeping the travel space among the most modern in the world. The investments are part of the city's airport authority's plan to invest a total of $5 billion in its airport improvement program over 15 years. The airportĀ is one of the largest sources of direct and indirect local job creation, and is essential to the region's economy.

Miami International Airport Baggage Systems

The project will replace the baggage screening system (Baggage Handling System, BHS) of the South Terminal and the installation of an automated system at the BHS of the Central Terminal, including external baggage handling systems, mechanical modifications, a 5.5 thousand mĀ² extension of the current terminal building and a corridor located after the security procedures connecting Terminals G and H.

Port Miami

The Port of Miami modernization project aims to build a new structure required for the use of the electric rubberized gantry crane (eRTG) to optimize and consolidate the storage of containers. The project will also include the revitalization of 20 acres of the port property for the future construction of two new cruise terminals.
