Line 2 Branch Project reaches 85% progress in Civil Works
The Panama Metro Line 2 Branch project is 85% complete in terms of civil works and electromechanical systems, and 38% complete in terms of the integral railway system (SIF). The project has 2 stations, ITSE and Airport, and extends for approximately 2 kilometers from the bifurcation of the South Station of Metro Line 2 to the new air terminal of Tocumen International Airport (AIT).
OEC has just delivered the 15th health center, a result from Public Private Partnership between the city of Belo Horizonte and concessionaire Saúde BH. The contract executed in June 2019 has duration of 20 years and the 40 units planned will be delivered in the first 33 months. By mid-2023, this corresponds to an average of one new center every 24 days.

The main entry point to the city of Belém will gain new infrastructure with the renewal work that will be undertaken in coming months. The contract to start these interventions was signed on September 24, at an event attended by the governor, Simão Jatene. Contract manager, André Araújo, and commercial manager, Marcelo Moreira, represented Odebrecht Engineering & Construction (OEC).
On April 20, the Laúca Hydroelectric Plant flood spillway entered into operation. The event took place eight months after starting to fill the artificial lake – a 188 km² reservoir responsible for holding water from the Kwanza River.
On Thursday, June 14, the third generator unit rotor was lowered at the Baixo Iguaçu Hydroelectric Power Plant (UHE). This is the last piece of major equipment to be installed at the plant, where work started in 2013 and is now entering the completion stage.
