The year 2022 was an important milestone for strengthening and disseminating the area of Innovation at OEC. In July, the construction company launched its open innovation program, OEC IN, a novelty that was accompanied by the launch of the podcast Conexão OEC, an internal and external communication tool designed to bring the company closer to the innovation ecosystem and give vent to issues experienced in day-to-day construction work, in addition to encouraging a critical look at methods and processes that can be optimized.

In an Extraordinary General Meeting, held last January 7, the re-election of the members of the OEC Board of Directors for a new mandate was approved, as indicated by the controlling shareholder Novonor S.A., as follows:

OEC - Engenharia e Construção through the Nova Ponte Consortium will act in the planning and execution of Guaratuba Bridge, on the coast of Paraná (PR). The announcement of the bid valued at R$386.9 million was made by the DER/PR (Paraná’s Department of Highways). With a length of 1.2 km, the road will have four lanes for vehicles.

Mr. Bento Albuquerque, born in Rio de Janeiro, took office as a member of the Board of Directors of OEC S.A. ("CA-OEC") on November 15. Albuquerque's appointment was approved by the other seven members of the Board of Directors, with a majority of independent members, formalizing Albuquerque’s entrance at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the OEC S.A.

Since the beginning of the year the various channels in the five social networks where OEC - Engineering and Construction and Novonor are present have registered 55 million prints, 880,000 engagements, gathering more than 1.8 million followers.
